There are some people who teach class, and then there are people who become part of the heartbeat of a community. Mark has been that from day one.
He was the very first instructor we brought into The Circle, and I honestly can’t imagine this place without him. He was teaching a bit and I asked if his classes were full and he said not really, and I told him right there that that was going to change. If you’ve ever walked through our doors, you’ve probably heard his voice echoing through the studio, cheering someone on, celebrating a breakthrough, or reminding a room full of dancers that they’re capable of more than they think. His energy is contagious, his heart is enormous, and his belief in his students is something really special to witness.
Beyond being an incredible teacher, Mark is one of those rare people who makes everyone around him feel like they belong. He leads with kindness, pushes with intention, and somehow creates an environment where beginners feel safe enough to try and experienced dancers still feel challenged.
