EVYS was the first Yoga Alliance yoga teacher training and nonprofit program in the San Antonio area.

Named for Esther Vexler, the "Mother of Yoga" in San Antonio. Esther was a widely known philanthropist in the yoga community and beyond. Whether you are looking to immerse yourself in the practice of yoga or register with Yoga Alliance as a 200RYT, the experienced faculty at the Esther Vexler Yoga School (EVYS) will guide you to deepen your practice and so much more. Our comprehensive program incl

udes top-notch instruction in yoga asanas, including how to modify and use props, as well as yoga philosophy, pranayama, meditation, teaching methodology, and anatomy. The Esther Vexler Yoga School was the first yoga teacher training in Bexar County, and is the only nonprofit school in the area. We are honored to serve our community by making yoga education available to all. Tax deductible donations to our scholarship fund help us ensure that financial need is not an impediment to enrolling in our program.
