I’ve had so many first time mamas going at 38 weeks this year 👀 after we do all the mental prep work to prepare them for potentially going past their EDDs lol
But this mama did AMAZING, and pushed through to have her unmedicated birth (on pitocin btw 😮‍💨)
So proud of this mama & her partner for being an amazing support system for her.

This incredible mama allowed me to help find her a midwifery team that would be supportive of her desired VBAC, and I’m so thankful for the experience, as well as the opportunity to support her and have helped advocate for her.
Mama worked so hard and was successfully able to have her VBAC and what I hope is a better experience than her first birth, even with the little bumps that came along💓
This birth concluded a busy weekend at Birth Center of San Antonio 🤪

This mama sea lion at SeaWorld Texas is 100% relatable 😂 watching her navigate tandem nursing her new pup and older pup threw me back to when I tandem nursed my two kiddos!
My family loves to visit the sea lions and watch their behaviors that are so alike to ours. From milk drunk pups, to contact naps, and mamas chasing their toddlers around, all the mamas are just doing their best at what comes naturally to them.

This birth was such a beautiful example of moms being left alone and able to experience physiological birth in the hospital space 💓 So incredibly thankful for these sweet clients inviting me along for their journey into parenthood, and to be able to support mama through her unmedicated birth. This is the first client I’ve had BREAK a labor comb, tooth by tooth 😂 and they’ve since framed it!
