Join us this Saturday, April 25 for our Beyond the Primary Complaint workshop for providers.

If you are a provider seeing patients with persistent GU, GI, Pelvic or other musculoskeletal symptoms but negative diagnostics, this is the workshop for you!

We hope you will join us as we look at shifting the model in clinical decision making from one of pathology to one that is more functional, neuromuscular, and systems based.

We will consider an interdisciplinary approach to managing these often complex cases.

Are you feeling the stress of trying to keep your body moving but everywhere, all the time inundated with “too many different words and too many different sentences” ?! All leaving you unable to gain traction that results in forward momentum?

If this is you, (and you like to shop for cool shoes), then you should join us this Saturday at iRun! I will be hanging out all morning talking about pelvic floor, floor to core connections, common core/pelvic floor symptoms, how all these things affect one another, and easy actions you can take to turn things around. There will be plenty of time for questions!

Bonus: I will be providing a demo of Pippa and how it is changing the game for pelvic floor fitness and runners with urinary leakage!

Workshop runs from 9:30-10:30. There are a limited number of 20 minute 1:1 spots if you want to talk about your specific symptoms/concerns privately.

✨ Big news, CE fam! ✨

After 5 wonderful years at The Alley on Bitters, COREssentials is moving into a new space inside Method Wellness and Physical Therapy — located at 4726 Shavano Oak Ste. 101, San Antonio, TX 78249.

We are so excited to join forces with Method Wellness — a clinic that shares our same approach to personalized, compassionate, and comprehensive care. 💜 This move means more resources, more collaboration, and even better support for our patients… all under one roof!

A few quick details:

📦 The clinic will be closed Friday, October 31st for our move.
📅 We will reopen and begin seeing clients at our new location the first week of November.
📞 Our phone number and contact info will all stay the same.

COREssentials will continue to be independently owned and operated by Jennifer Duggins, and we will keep delivering the same high-quality, patient-centered care we’ve built our name on since 2016.

This move has been a dream years in the making — our founder, Jennifer, met Dr. Sara Eades (founder of Method Wellness) back in 2015 before either of them opened their practices. Since then, they’ve shared patients, ideas, and a vision for wellness that we are so proud to finally bring together. Dr. Eades and her team have something truly special.

We can’t wait for you to experience the Method community vibe and everything this next chapter will bring. 💫

How do you breathe?

Do you breathe up or down?

Have you ever paid attention to your breath or your body when you breathe?

There are intricate connections within your body both structurally and in higher level functions like your organs and nervous system that make movement and life possible.

Learning what these connections are and how to affect them can be a game changer for how you feel within your body, activate your body’s core system, and move throughout your days!

If you don’t know how your pelvic floor connects to your respiratory diaphragm, all bets are off for creating a stable foundation for movement.

Join us this Saturday as we talk about, teach and practice all of these things together. The class provides instruction along with ample guided movement, personal coaching and support to make these connections and take them home immediately to impact function!

💜 Save the date for this month’s Empowered Pelvis class. Saturday, August 23 at Libelula Wellness from 4:00 - 5:30 pm.

✨ We will do a quick “previously on The Empowered Pelvis” 😏 in other words, a recap of a few items from last month’s class, before we dive in to topics for session 2. The classes are stand alone, so come for any or all!

🗣️ Up for discussion this month: We will highlight need to know basic anatomy and connections within our bodies to understand how all of the parts work together to support healthy core, bladder, bowel and sexual functions. We will learn and practice healthy core and breath mechanics as well as movement strategies to support these systems, and strategies will be taught to address challenges you may be feeling/facing in connecting with all of these parts!

This workshop is perfect for anyone who may be uncertain if they need pelvic floor help as well as for the individuals who may have some immediate concerns but prefer to try to manage things independently. No experience necessary and all fitness levels are welcome!

A little knowledge goes a long way in prevention, y’all. This is learning that supports us for a lifetime!

📡 COREssentials is excited to announce a satellite clinic day, Tuesdays at Betty’s Co. in their current location in front of Armadillo Boulder’s Camden St. hub near the Pearl!

Betty’s is a women’s health company for women+ in their teens and twenties. They currently provide care from period until pregnancy and include gynecology, mental health, and wellness. They recently opened their space to independent providers like COREssentials to offer additional services to the people they serve.

We could not be more excited to collaborate and look forward to this new adventure!

Education to empower individuals to be their own health and wellness advocate is at the forefront of how COREssentials provides care. Betty’s Co. has provided a platform for this and is changing the game for young women+ in how they receive care. There are so many things people seek medical care for that can be prevented with a little education on the front end! We are so happy to be a part of this trend.

We are offering promotions for the month of August.

⌛️ Hey everyone! It’s time for Session 1 of The Empowered Pelvis Workshop Series. This Saturday July 19 and Sunday July 20.

It’s not too late to register to attend this Saturday (people with a v***a) or Sunday (people with a p***s). Come on your own or with a friend! The more the merrier.

This series is 6 sessions in all. Each offering knew information as groundwork to build on the next one, but attendance of all 6 is not required. You are free to register for individual sessions based on topics you feel most important to you, or register for all 6 and get a little discount on the package.

The classes will be light hearted and packed with useful information and insights immediately applicable to your day to day lifestyle as well as movement strategies to support your current functional, recreational and fitness routines for pelvic health and beyond!

This workshop is perfect for anyone who may be uncertain if they need pelvic floor help as well as for the individuals who may have some immediate concerns but prefer to try to manage things independently. No experience necessary and all fitness levels are welcome!
