Back to school means new teachers, new friends, new routines… and plenty of shared germs! 📚✏️
Classrooms, cafeterias, school buses, playgrounds, and frequently touched surfaces can make it easy for germs to spread. Remind your children to wash their hands often, cover coughs and sneezes, avoid touching their eyes, nose, and mouth, and never share drinks, water bottles, or utensils.
Even with healthy habits, kids can still get sick. Keep an eye out for symptoms like persistent fever, vomiting, difficulty breathing, dehydration, unusual sleepiness, or an illness that continues to get worse.
When sickness takes a more serious turn, The Emergency Clinic is here for your family with 24/7 emergency care, onsite testing, and emergency-trained physicians. Walk-ins are always welcome, and no appointment is necessary.
Here’s to a happy and healthy school year! 🍎
