As temperatures rise and families spend more time outdoors, heat-related illnesses can happen faster than you think. Whether you’re working outside, enjoying summer activities, or cheering from the sidelines, recognizing symptoms early can make all the difference.

🥵 Signs of Heat Exhaustion may include:
• Heavy sweating

Emergency medicine teams are trained to make life-saving decisions in seconds, often during the most unpredictable and high-pressure moments imaginable. From responding to heart attacks and strokes to traumatic injuries, severe illnesses, and natural disasters, emergency departments serve as the front line of healthcare for millions of patients every year.

Today, on Emergency Medicine Day, we honor the physicians, nurses, paramedics, technicians, and support staff who continue that mission of rapid, compassionate care every single day. Proud to stand behind those who serve our community every day. Prestige Emergency Room and Alamo City Urgent Care were honored to sponsor the Lt. Jeremy Payne Memorial ACT Golf Tournament hosted by the Deputy Sheriff’s Association of Bexar County.

This incredible event helps support Bexar County law enforcement officers and their families through medical assistance, scholarships, and community support programs while honoring the legacy of Lt. Jeremy Payne.
