Implant Education Wednesday 🎓 | Let’s talk SHAPE

What makes an augmentation look more “natural” or more obviously augmented?

Size and shape are connected. Generally, as implant size increases, the change in the shape becomes more noticeable.

Upper Pole Projection: How much the upper part projects outward can create anything from a subtle slope to a fuller, more augmented look.

Upper Pole vs. Lower Pole Volume: Implant profile affects how pronounced the projection is. As projection increases, more volume is carried forward, pushing the upper area outward and creating a fuller, more augmented shape.

Upper Pole Roundness: A smooth transition looks more subtle, while a more defined, rounded transition makes the augmentation more noticeable.

There’s no “right” look. The goal is finding the size and shape you love that works with your anatomy.

In the first photo, our patient was 120 pounds heavier and wearing a size 24.

She went on to lose an incredible 120 pounds on her own before coming to Dr. Albright for surgery.

And in the second photo? After weight loss, after surgery, size 12 and rocking her confidence. ❤️

✨ Dr. Albright performed a breast reduction to help complete her transformation.

When she shared this photo with us, she said:

“I almost cried when I saw myself in a swimsuit. I could have never felt so confident.” 💙💙

That’s the part that gets us. Feeling good, enjoying life, and genuinely loving what you see.

At just 24 years old, our amazing patient lost 80 pounds through hard work, dedication, and a serious commitment to herself. 👏

With that incredible accomplishment came some changes she hadn’t necessarily asked for, including loose abdominal skin and deflation.

Dr. Albright’s surgical plan included:
✨ Full tummy tuck
✨ Augmentation

And here we are 6 months later… confidence soaring, feeling amazing, and already enjoying life to the fullest. 💕

We talk a lot about what happens inside the OR, but at the end of the day, work is important, but family is what makes it all worthwhile.

And a fun fact you may not know: Dr. A’s dad is a doctor too. Apparently, taking good care of people runs in the family. ❤️
