This tapestry in my studio reflects the interconnectedness of life and mirrors the way I approach personal evolution (aka ‘healing’). 🖤
Let me break it (my perspective) down for you:
The moth, known for its unique ability to navigate darkness and hear frequencies that no other living being can hear (moths possess the best hearing in the animal kingdom), symbolizes intuition, transformation, and resilience — qualities that are deeply woven into personal evolution. 🦋
Beneath it, the mushrooms represent a deeper layer of connection. Thriving in the shadows, breaking down what no longer serves us and creating the foundation for renewal - the mushrooms symbolize the quiet, often unnoticed ways this unspoken wisdom within us all can nourish and illuminate our path to self-discovery and understanding (as long as we are willing to listen). Just as mycelium (the ‘living’ or ‘vegetative’ body for fungi) connects with and communicates between different organisms in their habitat, our own mind-body connection can guide and inform us also. 🍄
The cosmos, moon phases, and the sun & moon themselves reflect the cyclical and inherent nature of life and evolution. 🌌
Placed with intention, the anatomy posters on either side ground the ethereal in the physical - reminiscent of the entire universe that resides within each individual. The human body carries our experiences - manifesting as pain, tension, inflammation, stress, etc. and also has the capacity to heal itself. The balance between intuition and science, the unseen and the tangible, and the deep interconnectedness of the body, the mind, and both physical and spiritual transformation has never ceased to amaze me. 🫀
& this is the type curiosity and zest for life I’d like to be reminded of and share with people who come to the studio. ✨
