"Just eat more fiber."
If you've ever struggled with bloating, constipation, IBS, or other digestive symptoms, you've probably heard that advice before.
And sometimes it's absolutely the right recommendation.
But what many people don't realize is that fiber isn't one thing. There are different types of fiber, different amounts, and different levels of tolerance depending on what's happening in your gut.
That's why two people can eat the exact same high-fiber meal and have completely different experiences.
One person feels great.
The other ends up bloated, uncomfortable, and wondering what they did wrong.
The problem isn't that your body is "broken."
It may simply be that your gut needs a different approach right now.
This is one of the biggest reasons I don't believe in one-size-fits-all gut health advice. What works for one person may backfire for another.
Context matters.
Symptoms matter.
And understanding the pattern matters.
