If you’re new to therapy, remember this: it’s completely okay if the first therapist you meet isn’t the right fit. Sometimes you know after one session, and sometimes it takes a few. That doesn’t mean therapy isn’t for you—it just means you’re still finding the person and approach that best supports your healing.
It’s also important to know that different types of therapy may be helpful at different stages of your life. What works during one season may not be what you need in the next, and that’s okay. Healing isn’t one-size-fits-all.
Please don’t give up because one experience wasn’t what you hoped for. Keep advocating for yourself, asking questions, and seeking the support you deserve.
Your healing matters.
Your mental health matters.
And you deserve the opportunity to not just survive—but to truly thrive.
