Books On the Bay is AAP-CA3's annual fundraising event. All proceeds support the Reach Out and Read San Diego program, providing over 190,000 books a year to underserved children across San Diego and Imperial Counties.

Join us on October 24th at the beautiful Hyatt Regency Mission Bay from 5:30-9:00pm for an exciting evening of live music, Alma del barrio Folklorico dancers, socializing, delicious food, live and silent auctions, and more, as we celebrate Reach Out and Read’s multiculturalism.

AAP-CA3's Healthy Development Services (HDS) promotes healthy relationships. HDS offers no-cost classes where families can learn together about child development, bond with their child, and connect with other parents.

HDS serves families living in San Diego County with children ages birth through 5 years old (who have not yet started kindergarten).

For 20 years, Reach Out and Read San Diego has brought joy and hope to children and their families distributing 2.5 million new developmentally and culturally appropriate books. When they get to take a book home, their child’s face lights up with joy. There is joy when families cuddle up with these books that bring laughter, excitement, wonder, curiosity, and closeness through these shared moments. Watching their children grow in their knowledge and abilities brings hope for every family that their child will excel. Thank you for being a part of our 2.5 million book journey!
