If you’re a parent exploring Gifted and Talented testing, have you ever wondered what the preparation process is actually like and how to best support your child?

Instead of focusing on memorization or traditional studying, gifted testing is really about understanding how a child thinks, reasons, and solves problems. Knowing this ahead of time can make the process feel much more approachable for families.

This article is designed as a parent guide to help break it all down in a simple, supportive way. It explains what these tests measure, what preparation really means, and how families can support their child without adding unnecessary pressure.

Have you ever been told your child may benefit from an autism evaluation, but weren’t sure what that actually involves?

An autism evaluation is a structured process that helps us understand how a child communicates, interacts with others, learns, and processes the world around them. It includes several steps such as intake, observation, testing, and a final feedback session where families receive clear explanations and next steps.

We’re sharing this because understanding the process ahead of time can help families feel more prepared, supported, and less stressed as they move forward

We were so honored to participate as an exhibitor at the 11th Annual CICAMH Conference this year.

The energy throughout the event was incredibly inspiring, with meaningful conversations taking place around equity, access, and innovation in youth mental health and how we can better support children, adolescents, and families.

It was a privilege to connect with so many dedicated providers and to hear from thoughtful keynote speakers who are shaping the future of care in this field.

A sincere thank you to the organizers and everyone who contributed to making this such a thoughtful and impactful experience.

Did you know autism is often described in levels, such as Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3?

We’re sharing this resource because these terms can be confusing. Autism Spectrum Disorder affects each person differently, with their own strengths, challenges, and ways of navigating daily life. Understanding what each level means makes it easier for families and professionals to provide the right support where it’s needed most.

Have you ever heard someone say dyslexia just means reversing letters, or that children will eventually “grow out of” reading struggles?

We’re sharing this as a resource because these common myths about dyslexia can delay support and leave families feeling confused or unsure of what to do next. Dyslexia is a language-based learning difference that affects how the brain processes written words. It has nothing to do with intelligence, and with the right instruction and support, children with dyslexia can build strong reading skills and confidence.
