The largest national park in the US, Wrangell St. Elias National Park covers 13 million acres.

That’s Yellowstone, Yosemite and Switzerland combined.

35% of the park is covered in glaciers.

Mount St. Elias is the second tallest peak in the US and Canada at 18k feet.

Flight-seeing over the towering peaks, untouched wilderness, vast ice fields and acres of glaciers was truly a sight to see.

Had to stop and smell all the wildflowers that were scattered along the hike, had to share them here too!

Always knew I liked to climb rocks but I thought those were only in the shape of mountains, never thought I’d like to climb boulders too.

Only my second time bouldering ever and had a heavenly time at Happy Boulders! It definitely wasn’t send it season, we were the only ones out there for hours (only saw five other people eventually) Did my first traverse and sent it over an arete. Flashed a 30 footer, NBD 🥹

Snapped some shots with a Canon DSLR for the first time. Still learning the lenses and adjusting the settings, but it was fun practicing!

Redemption hike.

This hike has been on my mind/to do list since 2023 and been a hike that Dog Dad has been wanting to do for years. We both crossed it off our list!

My biggest moment was getting to this wilderness sign and lake 2 and remembering the deep hip pain I was enduring in 2023 when Harvey and I hiked this trail the first time.
After two long years of surgeries and rehab, I’m so happy to truly feel that it was all worth it. The 100+ PT sessions, the months on crutches, all for new reconstructed hips! These babies held up!!

Day hike was the way to go! We’re so lucky the Eastern Sierras are half a days drive away.

All smiles over here as all is well with Harvey.

Attributing his limping to being a true fake out. Or the anti-inflammatory meds worked and we need to keep a closer eye on his activity and decrease his jumping on and off things/cars/etc.

But when we got home from our trip, he had major zoomies that we had to halt so he wouldn’t injure himself! Needless to say, he may have missed out on the hiking but he definitely missed his humans.

Happy dog, happy gut, happy life.

No more scratchies for this dood. -Harvey, probably.
