Our annual company holiday party was a blast!! This year, we held it at the exquisite Nick & G’s in Rancho Santa Fe, complete with a delicious lunch, gift exchange, and raffle/giveaway! Best of all was time spent together in person with an amazing group of people. We are grateful every day for the incredible team of SLPs, OTs, PTs and Admins — you all make Radiant Kids Therapy what it is, helping hundreds of kids with the highest quality services every day!! 💚✨🎁💕

More catching up on some recent busy weeks: Laura, Amber, Athena, Amity and Jecoria had the best time at Peds-a-Palooza’s Lead Up 2025 conference in New Orleans last month! Sessions were jam-packed with so much relevant info to equip each of us to continue to make Radiant Kids Therapy the best it can be! We also LOVED networking with companies from around the nation that do the same thing we do. We came away inspired and excited to implement what we learned. In the limited downtime we had, we also confirmed that NOLA’s foodie options live up to the hype!! 😋 🎉 ✏️ 📝 🤓 🍤

Catching up on recent events— Laura, Amity and Jecoria had a blast representing Radiant Kids Therapy at San Diego Regional Center’s 3rd annual Family & Vendor Resource Fair earlier last month! The San Diego Convention Center was packed with thousands of people, and we loved getting to see, talk with, and offer prizes to many who came by our table! Can’t wait till we do this again next year!! ✨

Potty training is a big milestone for you and your toddler. Here are 3 tips from a speech & language perspective to help along the way!

1. If your child is not yet using words to communicate his/her wants or needs, incorporate the ‘potty’ sign or new gesture, such as patting diaper/pull-up/underwear. This is also a great strategy to incorporate long before you begin potty training!

2. Strengthen your child’s understanding (receptive language) of the toileting routine, such as labeling items and actions as you use them in the bathroom (e.g. toilet, water, flush) or letting your child watch you use the bathroom and narrate actions.

3. Read and sing songs about using the potty. You can even role play toileting with dolls or stuffed animals. These are great ways to introduce the concept and new vocabulary associated with the routine!

Many families enjoy snowy mornings, days off from school, holiday parties, sweet treats, and less structure than typical❄️🌲👦

👉🏼For children with sensory processing deficits, the holiday season can be hard. It may feel like a season of chaos, frustration and dysregulation. The sweetest of children can also be “off” during the holidays!

🧐Detect when your child Is experiencing sensory overload and reduce negative behaviors.

👉🏼Triggers leading to overload:
loud noises, busy spaces, environmental changes, unwanted physical contact, strong smells, or uncomfortable clothing!
