Dr. Miguel Navarro: These hernias are among the most frequent sufferings and appear as bumps in the abdominal area right under the skin. Umbilical hernias originate when a part of the intestine protrudes among the abdominal muscles due to making some efforts caused by carrying heavy objects, pregnancy, or severe cough.

👉 They can sometimes become very painful and medical revision will be required to diagnose if the patient needs any treatment or if the subject is eligible for surgery, which will allow closing the opening from where the intestine came out.
