I know you all are ready to get to your hair done!!! Right?!?! We all are ready! So... I decided to offer a Beauty Raffle with 3 winners!!!
I am sooo excited to get back to the salon! I am really missing all of my beautiful friends and clients! I am also currently unemployed because we are following the recommendations of the CDC, but as soon as I am allowed to work I will be back in the salon! I’m gonna be 100% transparent with you when I say, this raffle will really help me out right now! Each square purchased helps me by providing income to pay some of my bills until I receive a stimulus, unemployment or until I’m allowed back to work!💕🙏🏻 So I want you to know that each square purchased is SOOO very appreciated! Perhaps gift squares to a health care provider on the front lines, risking their life everyday for us! I’m really feelin this! 💕💕💕💕 •

If you know me at all, you know that I need structure and organization to keep me in balance! Yet the past few years I’ve been running all over SD switching between my careers as a hairstylist, teaching my regular weekly yoga classes & planning and creating magical Reiki and Yin Yoga events and Trainings! I thought I found the balance in my “work life” but this stay in order has really taught me that my personal and home life were lacking!!!!

Now, I’m taking the time to really organize the s #*% out of my apartment 😜🤓 while spending quality time with my pup all day & with Philip ❤️🙏🏻 when he’s home from work! (BTW his shop is thankfully still open because they are an essential business!) I feel like my friendships are closer more than ever, we’ve been texting, talking and FaceTiming daily! I know this experience is here to teach us. Let’s all be open to the greater lesson! 🌎❤️🙏🏻 In the words of the late Tupac Shakur - “ Let’s change the way we eat, let’s change the way we live and let’s change the way we treat each other! The old way wasn’t workin so it’s up to us to make a change, to survive!”

Ok so I know there’s a lot going on with this pandemic and I believe wholeheartedly that it is our responsibility to take extra care of ourselves in the best way we can from home!

New to Yin Yoga??? You are my favorite kind!!! Well, let me tell you what a healing practice Yin Yoga is! Truly! Ok so... We store all kinds of unprocessed emotions in our physical body, like stress & anxiety, anger... the list goes on and on! When we hold onto these emotions internally (whether we are conscious of it or not) our body will manifest physical symptoms like tension, illness, disease, digestive issues, more anxiety and stress (and again the list goes on and on).

When we take the time to slow down and allow relaxation to occur we are rebalancing our nervous system, which causes our body to get out of that “fight or flight” response and shifts us into the “rest and recovery” phase of healing! And since our emotions are stored in our physical body, when you continue to practice Yin Yoga you not only will gain more flexibility and range of motion in your joints... but, you will also begin to allow your thoughts and emotions to come up so that you can fully let them GO! 👋
You probably don’t allow a bunch of garbage to flood your house right??? So why do that to your body, mind + soul! •

This time has been incredibly stressful for so many of us! And on so many different levels! I’m really feeling for all those small businesses out there! I’ve been feeling financially stressed being self employed as a yoga teacher & a hairstylist. My yoga studios & hair salon have been forced to shut down and it’s left a lot of us feeling so hopeless and uncertain! But one thing I know for sure is “I WILL ALWAYS BE TAKEN CARE OF!” We need to have faith and trust that and that things are unfolding just as they should!

In the mean time we must take care of our selves, physically, emotionally & spiritually! For me connecting to my body through the practice of + is so grounding and healing to my ... keeps me from loosing my marbles 🤪😂

So this is my attempt at “working from home” and serving my community in the best way I know how!
