I’m having such a wonderful time at the EFT Triage Conference. I was so excited to have the opportunity to speak, and it’s been every bit as meaningful as I’d hoped.

There’s something incredibly energising about being surrounded by colleagues who are passionate about this work. Every conversation, every session, and every opportunity to learn from some of the best clinicians in the field reminds me why I love what I do.

The community is truly something special. It’s generous, welcoming, and inspiring—and I’m so grateful to be part of it.

My time in South Africa is coming to a close, and I’m heading home with a very full cup.

Time with family, space to rest, and a little distance from the usual pace have been exactly what I needed.

Now I’m looking ahead to a full and exciting few months of training, teaching, and connection — including the EFT Triage Conference at the end of July and a special launch to close out the month.

Feeling recharged and ready for what’s next.

EFT doesn’t only ask clients to be vulnerable. It asks the therapist to go there too.

In this conversation with Dr Belle from We Heart Therapy , I speak about the personal work EFT required of me — how difficult it was, how rewarding it became, and how deeply it shaped my work with clients.

Together, we explore complex EFT cases, the courage it takes to slow down, the importance of building trust, and why I believe therapists shouldn't have to hold hard cases alone.

I hope you enjoy this rich conversation about humility, support, and the slow, steady work that makes breakthroughs possible.

Curious about Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy, but not ready to commit to a full Core Skills training?

This 13-hour immersive retreat is the perfect place to begin.

Designed as a practical introduction to Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFCT), we'll explore the core principles of this evidence-based model and the key interventions that help couples move from conflict and disconnection to deeper emotional connection.

Over the course of the retreat, I'll share the teaching highlights I've found most valuable in my own practice, using clinical video examples, demonstrations, and plenty of experiential role-play to help you build confidence in applying the model.

You'll gain practical insight into how to:

Understand and map couples' negative interaction cycles
Recognise the attachment needs driving conflict
Begin facilitating deeper emotional conversations
Practice key EFT interventions in a supportive learning environment

Whether you're new to EFT or simply curious about the model, this retreat offers a meaningful introduction with practical tools you can begin using immediately in your work with couples.

Stepping away from my usual routine gives me time to think.

Not just about where I've been, but about where I'm going.

This season of rest has also been a season of reflection. I've been taking some time to think about the conversations I want to have, the topics that matter most, and how I can best support the families, couples, children, and therapists who spend time in this little corner of the internet.

As I start planning for the year ahead, I'd love to hear from you. What's on your mind? What are you navigating, wondering about, or wanting to learn more about?

There was something striking about seeing these armoured knights.

Their armour is extraordinary — powerful, formidable, designed to protect. In the right environment, it's exactly what's needed.

But in relationships, the very defences that help us survive can also keep us apart. The armour that protects us from being hurt can make it harder to be seen, known, and connected.

This is the work that fuels my purpose: helping people lower the armour, just enough to let each other in.

If I'm honest, I arrived carrying the pace of the year in my body. But little by little, I'm remembering what it feels like to slow down, laugh more easily, and be fully present with the people I love most.

One of my favourite ways to unwind is watching Wimbledon. There’s something about the rhythm of it all — the tradition, the precision, the quiet intensity. And with the tournament only a few weeks away, getting to tour the grounds today felt pretty special.

Centre Court was surprisingly intimate. Cosy chairs, a sense of history, and an atmosphere that somehow manages to feel both grand and understated. I learned that the grounds team literally measures the wear on the grass between matches, counting blades within a square metre to monitor its condition. They even have a hawk fly overhead each day to keep the pigeons away.

It struck me that excellence rarely happens by accident. It's found in the small, consistent things no one sees — the care, preparation, and attention to detail behind the scenes.

It left me wondering: in the areas of life and work that matter most to me, what am I doing consistently to create an experience that reflects the standards I aspire to?

Food for thought from a very happy Wimbledon fan.
