Before and after results from revisional eyelid surgery to fix botched upper eyelid ptosis repair in San Diego.

This kind patient came in to me under very concerned following her 3 month result with an outside plastic surgeon to correct droopy eyelids (ptosis). Her biggest concern was notching that occurred in the right upper eyelid causing an atypical eyelid contour. She also wished her left eyelid was more open, with hopes of improved eyelid symmetry.

She underwent an right upper eyelid retraction repair, where I was able to isolate the stitch that was causing the notch in her eyelid and release scar tissue in the area in addition to lifting the outer corner of the eyelid to improve eyelid contour. In addition, I did a left upper eyelid, internal scarlet, ptosis repair, ultimately, resulting and improved symmetry between both sides.

She couldn’t be more thrilled the notch is gone and she feels symmetrical again. Grateful for her trust with this complex revision and so happy for her. 🙏 Note no changes to the skin were made. For eyelid skin on the upper eyelids appear more symmetrical as our eyelids are now more symmetrically open and her brows can now can be more relaxed.

📷⁩ ⁨Results from male upper and lower eyelid blepharoplasty in San Diego.

This kind patient came in with his daughter’s wedding on the horizon hoping to look more refreshed. He was bothered by his under-eyes and felt he was having a harder time seeing from his upper eyelids weighing him down. We discussed Asian make blepharoplasty and keeping his ‘monolid’ while reducing excess skin and puffiness. We also discussed skin tightening, brightening and softening age spots with TCA chemical peel. He opted away from skin pinch to reduce the visibility of surgery. Following surgery I started him on a topical skincare regimen as well helping improve skin texture and tone.

Here he is pictured 3 months out from surgery for a customized natural appearing quad blepharoplasty with lower eyelid fat repositioning. He is very happy with the results and is pleased he feels like he still looks like himself.

Results from natural appearing ptosis correction eyelid surgery in San Diego.

This kind gentleman came in with concerns that he was having a hard time reading, especially later in the day. He was fearful of surgery only because he didn’t want to look ‘different’. Using my scarless internal ptosis repair approach, I was able lift his lids, improve his vision, and maintain his identity. He is thrilled. This gorgeous patient came in feeling like her upper eyelids were heavy and making her look tired. After detailed exam she elected for an upper eyelid blepharoplasty with lateral browpexy. The lateral browpexy is a beautiful add on procedure to a bleph as it restores needed fullness in the lateral browpexy and can gently raise the tail of the brow and improve lateral hooding. She was thrilled with her results.

Grateful for the kind words and unfortunately not an uncommon story. The folds of skin around our eyes, hair and smile lines often make it more challenging to find small skin cancers unless you are specifically looking for them. Each exam I perform on patients, no matter cosmetic or medical, I perform a skin cancer screening so these tiny growth don’t turn in to large reconstructions.
