What supplements support healthy aging?

* Omega-3, especially Omega-3 w/ Biocurc, is one of the best supplements to help you age well inside and out. This super supplement supports brain health, inflammation, a healthy immune system, and heart health. Bonus, it may even improve skin moisture to help prevent wrinkles and protect your vision by lowering the risk for macular degeneration.

* Vitamin B12 is another crucial vitamin for protecting your memory and nervous system function. Absorbing B12 becomes more difficult as you age, so make sure your daily supplement contains plenty of this important nutrient.
Keeping your bones healthy is vital for independence as you age. Calcium, magnesium, and vitamin D, found in our Cal/Mag with D supplement, support bone health and may reduce the risk of osteoporosis.

* Taking care of your heart is another important part of healthy aging. CoQ10 is a powerful antioxidant that supports the cardiovascular system and general heart health. Another bonus is that it plays an important role in making our skin look and feel younger through collagen and elastin production.

Hi friends! Added sugar can raise your risk for heart disease. You read that correctly: sugar. While saturated fat has been decried by health and nutrition advocates for decades, new research suggests sugar may be a bigger problem. Here’s what you need to know

Added sugar can also raise your risk for heart disease. You read that correctly: Sugar, not saturated fat. While saturated fat has been decried by health and nutrition advocates for decades, new research is linking sugar and heart disease.

FORGOTTEN MEDICATION 💊

I just spoke with a patient whose systolic blood pressure I've halved from 225 to 112.

There are some medications that aren't pushed by drug companies because there's been a lot of time since the expiry date of their patent, that when used correctly can resolve those that have hard to treat blood pressure (where multiple medications have not resolved the high
blood pressure).

Proving once more that: OLDER IS BETTER! :)

Taken from my son's page (Rabbi Daniel Bortz):
My father is a doctor and observant Jew. When people ask him how a man of science can believe in God, he says it's precisely because he understands the intricacies of the body that he believes. "What is happening inside your eye as you are reading these words? Light passes through the front of the eye (the pupil) and through the lens. This light goes toward the back of the eye (the retina) where in a space less than one square inch, there are approximately one hundred million small machines shaped like rods. Every rod is connected by a nerve fiber to the brain. The rods contain a chemical substance called visual purple (rhodopsin). When the light reaches the rod it causes the visual purple to break down. This breakdown generates several millionths of a volt of electricity. This electricity is transmitted to the brain through the optic nerve at about 300 mph. The brain interprets the signals coming in, identifies what is being seen and remembers the image. The entire process is completed in about two thousandths of a second!"
