Traditional lower blepharoplasty often looks great… until it doesn’t.
Because removing fat from around the eyes can leave people looking hollow and small eyed over time.
Repeated lasers and aggressive peels? They can absolutely affect tissue quality and make future surgery/healing more difficult.
And if you’re treating the neck before the eyes and mid-face, you’re likely going to end up with too much tissue removed.
Also: most patients don’t actually need skin removed under the eyes. They need support restored.
Finally, filler. As your cheeks, eyes, etc droop with gravity and age, filler takes the path of least resistance and never stays where it’s initially placed. It’s also harder to desolve than the industry would have you believe.
Aging well is usually less about removing things and more about restoring structure.
