The skincare advice I ignore?
That if you just find the right active ingredient, the right cream, you’ll solve skin aging.
Skin doesn’t age for one reason and it won’t transform frim one input.
It ages because multiple biological processes gradually change over time.
Collagen production declines.
Oxidative stress accumulates.
The skin barrier becomes less efficient.
The skin’s ability to repair itself becomes less resilient.
These processes work together, which is why healthy skin depends on more than any single cream, serum, or supplement.
As a pharmacist, that realization changed the way I looked at skin health.
Instead of asking, “What’s the best collagen?” I started asking, “What does healthy skin actually need to function well over time?” How do i support the full system?
That question led me to spend years reviewing the scientific literature and ultimately create ATIKA. It’s not just a collagen supplement. It’s an all-in-one foundational skin nutrition formula that combines collagen peptides, ceramides, antioxidants, carotenoids, polyphenols, vitamins, and essential cofactors to support multiple aspects of skin biology — from structural integrity and antioxidant defense to barrier health and overall skin vitality.
I’m not saying topical skincare doesn’t matter. It absolutely does.
I’m saying healthy skin is built by supporting the biology underneath, too.
What’s one piece of skincare advice you’ve stopped believing?
