Sometimes healing changes who you’re attracted to.

The people who once felt exciting, familiar, or hard to let go of might start to feel less appealing 😏

You may notice you have less tolerance for inconsistency, emotional unavailability, criticism, or relationships that leave you questioning your worth.

Not because you’ve become “too picky,” but because as you heal, you start to notice how these dynamics that once felt familiar are actually harmful to you and emotionally unsafe.

Trauma therapy can help you understand the patterns underneath your relationships, tend to the parts of you that learned to seek connection with unsafe or unreliable people, and build a different relationship with yourself and others.

If you’re in California and looking for trauma therapy, our therapists use approaches including EMDR, parts work, and attachment-focused therapy to help you heal the patterns that keep showing up in your relationships.

Healing from emotional abuse isn’t something you should have to do alone

One of the hardest parts of recovering from coercive control and emotional abuse is realizing how isolating the experience can be.

So many survivors question themselves, minimize what happened, or feel like no one could possibly understand.

This therapist-led virtual support group is designed to change that.

Over five weeks, you’ll connect with others who get it, gain a deeper understanding of emotional abuse and coercive control, rebuild self-trust, and begin moving toward the life you deserve.

If you’ve been feeling stuck, alone, or wondering where to begin, this may be a safe place to start.

Details:
• California residents only
• 5-week virtual support group
• Tuesdays | 6:00-7:00 PM PT
• Led by a licensed therapist

Sometimes talk therapy isn’t enough.

You can understand why something hurts and still feel stuck in it.

That’s where EMDR comes in…

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy is a highly effective treatment for trauma, anxiety, and other emotional challenges.

EMDR helps to reprocess distressing memories and experiences by stimulating both sides of the brain, which can reduce their emotional charge and allow for healthier emotional responses.

This therapy allows you to process and heal from the past in a way that doesn’t require reliving them in detail.

We LOVE this modality because many clients find it to be transformative, helping them overcome long-standing issues and move forward with greater peace and resilience.

Many people associate EMDR with PTSD or “Big T” trauma.

And yes—ABSOLUTELY—EMDR is a great modality for this diagnosis and these types of experiences. AND it can also support you in healing from other, more nuanced but still impactful life experiences and relationships that are keeping you stuck.

If you’ve ever caught yourself replaying conversations, analyzing every possible outcome, or trying to “logic” your way out of anxiety, you’re not alone. Overthinking isn’t a lack of insight—it’s often a sign that your brain and body are stuck in a stress response.

While traditional talk therapy can help you understand why you feel anxious, EMDR helps your brain process the experiences and beliefs that keep that anxiety stuck in place.
