The world feels loud and like it’s burning behind us.
Everything feels expensive.
Everyone feels overwhelmed and stressed.

And somehow… the moments we need care, rest, human connection and touch
are the hardest to schedule in.

For the past couple of months, I’ve been feeling stuck —
and that led me here —
a Reiki session with my friend, Monica.

I can’t explain the feeling of emotions flowing through my body,
especially when she asked,
“¿Qué te da miedo?”

I’m afraid to show my emotions,
I’m afraid to take down my walls and let people in,
I’m afraid to fail,
I’m afraid to succeed,
I’m afraid to be me.

This isn’t “fixed” in one session —
however, it does open the door
to more inward discussions, paradigm shifts,
and vulnerable moments with the ones I trust and love.
