Therapeutic Approach to Growth

Therapeutic Approach to Growth Therapeutic Approach to Growth (TAG) is a multi-disciplinary team of professionals working to improv

Our comprehensive programs are holistic in nature in that we treat the entire individual and family system. Our programs include parent coaching, school support, home tutoring, and an on-site learning center. We also offer tutoring services in both 1:1 and group settings that are supervised by our clinical staff. Our programs consist of Naturalistic Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and Relationship

Development Intervention (RDI®). Both program foster competency, trust, social, emotional, cognitive, and/or academic growth. We focus on a guided participation model which is how, as individuals, we naturally learn from each other. Our goal is to create many opportunities for an individual to think and reflect, leading to increased independence over time.

Most autism support focuses on early intervention.

But autistic children don’t stay children.

So what happens when they become teens and adults?

In this episode of Finding Hope on the Spectrum, I talk with Steven Roberts, RDI consultant at Therapeutic Approach to Growth, about the stage of life that’s often overlooked in autism support.

We discuss:

✨ Why meaningful relationships are the foundation for growth
✨ Supporting independence without doing everything for them
✨ Encouraging self-determination and personal goals
✨ Helping autistic teens and adults build confidence and community

Because real success isn’t just about learning skills —
it’s about belonging, purpose, and quality of life.

So much of the autism conversation focuses on early intervention.
But what about teens and adults?

In this episode of Finding Hope on the Spectrum, Brooke sits down with Steven Roberts to talk about what meaningful support really looks like beyond childhood.

They discuss:
✨ Building confidence and independence
✨ Supporting self-determination and agency
✨ Creating opportunities for real-world engagement
✨ Why relationships are the foundation for growth
