On Friday Feburary 27, 2026, the Ninth Circuit issued a decision on the case we had argued before them back in October. This decision was a major win for students with disabilities. The Court recognized the inherent disadvantage parents are in when working with school district's and advocating for the needs of their children.

As long as parents continue to come back to the table, districts are required to ensure that a Student's Individualized Education Plan provides them the ability to make progress in light of their unique circumstances.

We are immensely proud to have worked on this case. Our small but incredibly passionate team put up a long fight that is always worth it. Win or lose, we can always confidently say that we are pushing to make a difference in children with disabilities's lives and ensure them appropriate access to education. Today, we get to celebrate this win that will have a positive impact on thousands of students. Tomorrow, we continue that fight for thousands more.
