From August 17–21, our center will be celebrating with a full week of themed fun for staff and learners alike. Spirit Week is such a great way to build connection, encourage creativity, and add a little extra joy to the day. 💙

Our learners and team from CARD San Diego traded the therapy center for the shoreline during a fun-filled Beach Day! From building sandcastles and exploring the beach to sharing laughs and making memories together, every moment was an opportunity to learn, connect, and grow.

Community outings like these help learners practice important skills in real-world settings, including:

🌊🐠 A splash of creativity made waves at our CARD San Diego center! 🐙✨

During Under the Sea Week, our learners dove into a hands-on activity by creating their own miniature aquariums! From colorful layers to sea creatures tucked inside, each creation was as unique as the learner who made it.

Activities like these are more than just fun. They encourage:
🪸 Creativity and imagination
🖐️ Fine motor skills
🎨 Following directions
🌟 Sensory exploration
💬 Communication and conversation
