Since 1991, Rising Stars of Equestrian Therapy has provided therapeutic and recreational horseback riding lessons to physically and mentally challenged children and adults. Horseback riding is a multidisciplinary approach to neurodevelopment therapy and physical rehabilitation that produces specific benefits and provides overall conditioning of the rider.

The Rising Stars Meet and Greet for new families will be this Saturday from 9 to 10:30. We will be meeting in the second entrance up by our horse stalls. Drop off your family, but you have to park in the 4th entrance at the Rodeo arena parking lot. Walk between the arenas. Walk between the barns, up the steps to the picnic table between the horse trailers and tree. No rides, no charge. You will get a chance to meet our horses to see if your child will connect. We will have apples and carrots for you to feed the horses. You will be their newest best friend. Come early to avoid the heat.

Please reserve your tickets for the 18th Annual Silver Fox Follies, Sunday August 30th at 2 p.m. at the Bonita Center for the Arts in San Dimas. 68 performers will be singing and dancing with ages from 12 to 94. There is a singing group, tap dance group, and Latin dance group. Straight Up Abilities will come from Los Angeles. They overcame their challenges through dance. They will steal your heart. Ric will dance with one of our clients in her wheelchair. Bring a van load of family and friends for 2 hours of joyful entertainment!! The finale has a salute to Veterans!!!

Michael Miranda brought his family to the Rising Stars for a fun outing. He was so impressed he made 2 videos for us to share. I am sharing 1 at a time. Thanks to Jessie Rodriguez for being there to help with the lessons. He made a great video promotional!! We deeply appreciate everything Jessie does for us!!!

Rising Stars has sad news. We can no longer use Rosie as a therapy horse for our clients because of her injury in june. We have found a nice family to take Rosie to their pasture with other animals. We will have a Farewell planned for Rosie next Saturday, July 25 from 9 to 10:30. Come show your love to Rosie.

Another creation from Paint and Pony with Ric and Christa. She came prepared to paint a picture for her driver's birthday. She comes from Huntington Beach for private lessons weekly!!

Christa is grateful for Rising Stars to help autistic people like her become more successful in life. She wants people to treat autistic people with respect. Christa has achieved great success through our program, joining with Deborah Garland, LMFT. Deborah's clients interact with our horses to take their stress so they can solve their challenges.
