The bad food day isn’t the problem.
What you do the morning after is!!!
Here’s the THING:
The second your brain decides a day is “ruined” it triggers something called the What The Hell Effect. A real psychological phenomenon where your brain says well it’s already blown, might as well go all in.
It’s not weakness. It’s a stressed brain doing what stressed brains do.
Here’s what I do instead 👇
🍳 Eat a full satisfying breakfast first thing.
Non negotiable. A light or skipped breakfast spikes stress hormones by midday and creates intense cravings by evening. Your body is running a stress response you accidentally triggered at 8am.
🛑 Stop the mental replay before it starts.
Every time you relive the night before your nervous system re-enters the same stressed state. Same state. Same cravings. Same outcome. The replay is not helping you learn. It is resetting the conditions.
🚶♀️ Get physically regulated before any food decisions.
Ten minutes outside. Not to burn anything. Cortisol drives all or nothing thinking. You cannot think your way out of a stressed nervous system. You have to move through it.
💛 Ask one question instead of doing a damage review.
Not what did I eat. But what was I actually feeling last night. The food was just the most available exit from an uncomfortable feeling. That feeling is where the real work is.
🍽️ Make one normal decision.
Not a perfect day. Just one neutral choice. The spiral loses power the moment you stop attaching meaning to it.
Save this for the next morning you wake up ready to start over.
DM me COACHING if you’re ready to stop cycling through this. 📌
