We actually get a lot of probiotics in our food, or we should in yogurt, kimchee, sauerkraut. I recommend probiotics after a round of antibiotics for sure, but what I recommend more often than probiotics for mild digestive issues, is ongoing digestive enzymes like Health Concerns Enteromend. These often make all the difference in digesting food more easily and calming mild gastric inflammation.

I like to tell my patients that even if you refuse to believe in Acupuncture signaling white blood cells to gather, interrupting the cytokine inflammatory cycle, or prompting the body’s endogenous painkillers into action, it’s clear that it reduces stress. Stress is a killer! It increases inflammation, causes diseases like shingles, leads to hypertension, weakened immunity, and digestive issues. If all you believe is Acupuncture reduces stress, it’s already life-changing! Check to see if your insurance covers it. Upgrade your life experience. 🔥🙏

The best way to do Acupuncture is to practice it from the full sense of your own being. At the core, it’s energy work and being aligned with one’s own energy is certainly helpful. Also, the judgment that Acupuncture and Chinese herbs are alternative always makes me laugh. Pharmaceuticals are often based on herbs, which have been used for thousands of years. There’s nothing surprising about their effectiveness. I practice Acupuncture like a mechanic. There’s very little mystery in it outside of the everpresent mystery of life in general. It’s well documented that needles stimulate the body’s endogenous opioids, signal white blood cells to gather, interrupt cytokine inflammatory cycles. I often treat orthopedic conditions. I needle trigger points, muscle adhesions, attachments and muscle bellies using electricity. Everything about this is logical. I’m just an experienced mechanic. Your body is the vehicle. The energy is always a mystery no matter what type of medicine is involved. 🚗 (Photo of me driving my vehicle in Sonoma).

Nearly everyone in the foggy Bay Area seems to be Vitamin D deficient. One way to get Vitamin D is by having your morning coffee outside in this perfect weather! If you take D3, taking it with K2 helps it absorb. Also, adequate Vitamin D assists in Calcium absorption, so get some rays. The supplement I like right now is Lucnvem gummies with D3, K2, Calcium, and Magnesium Glysinate. You can’t go wrong with this combo and it isn’t another pill, but a yummy gummy. 🎯

Many of you heard the story of Charlie’s injury three years ago. Turns out she’s an acupuncture dog! Charlie loves getting acupuncture and it helped her recover from a run in with a car. She barely limps these days and she’s far less anxious than she used to be. Pictured here smiling in Sonoma.
