APA Family Support Services is proud to serve on the Planning Committee for the 31st Annual Chinatown Community Health Fair, hosted by Gum Moon Residence Hall / Asian Women’s Resource Center and NICOS Chinese Health Coalition. We’ve been working with our community partners to bring this day together, and we can’t wait to see you there! What a day! APAFSS was proud to join Alcatraz City Cruises for Community Day & 20th Anniversary Celebration, honoring 20 years of partnership with the National Park Service connecting visitors with Alcatraz Island.

We loved connecting with fellow community partners and meeting neighbors, families, and visitors from near and far. Thank you to everyone who stopped by our table to say hello and learn about the programs and resources we offer families across San Francisco and the Bay Area.🎉

Our clients have spoken, and we're listening. 💬

This year, nearly 1,500 clients took part in our Client Satisfaction Survey, far more than we hoped for. The results speak volumes: 98% average satisfaction, well above our 85% target.

Clients overwhelmingly told us that our staff speak their language, understand their culture, and treat them with warmth. Nearly everyone said they'd come back and recommend us to others.

These results are our first baseline, and we'll keep working to earn this trust from every family who walks through our doors.

🌕 Happy Chuseok! 추석 잘 보내세요!

What a beautiful day at the 8th Annual Bay Area Chuseok Festival at the Presidio! Our APAFSS team loved celebrating the Korean harvest holiday with music, dance, art and so many wonderful families.

Chuseok is a time for gathering, gratitude and sharing a table with the people you love. Those same values guide our work with families every day. It was a joy to celebrate alongside so many neighbors, some honoring traditions they grew up with and others celebrating for the very first time.

Thank you to Korean Center, Inc. for bringing our community together, and to our staff and volunteers who made the day special. 💜

One Pantry Visit. Lifelong Family Change.

Our new impact report is here! It shows how a bag of culturally familiar groceries opens the door to counseling, parenting classes, financial literacy and job support for San Francisco families.

Each year:
✨ 850+ families served weekly
✨ 44,200 food bags
✨ 700,000 lbs of food

And thanks to new partners The SF Market, Food Connect Group and Extra Food, we're reaching 100 more families with fresh recovered produce every week.

A Partnership That Puts Families First

APA Family Support Services is proud to share that Sutter Health - Bay Area and CPMC have made a $50,000 community health investment in our Bridge to Care: Community Access & Chronic Disease Management program.

This funding strengthens the health education, screening, nutrition guidance, benefits enrollment, and care navigation services our community health workers provide across our three family resource centers in Chinatown, Excelsior, and Visitacion Valley/Sunnydale. In the first six months of 2026 alone, the program served 654 individuals and 578 families, scheduled 629 healthcare appointments, and reached over 1,000 people through outreach.

This builds on more than 20 years of collaboration with Sutter Health/CPMC, whose support has also extended to behavioral health, care navigation, and facility expansion initiatives over the years. As our Executive Director F***y Lam noted, "Health, nutrition, benefits and community support are interconnected" — and partnerships like this one are what allow us to meet families where they are.
