What an amazing day at Biomarin—thank you to everyone who helped make the event a success! 💛

A special thank you to Life Science Cares for partnering with us and helping support this event—without their help, the day would not be the same. We are so grateful for their commitment to our community.

We are also incredibly thankful to Biomarin employees who volunteered their time and energy, including those who carefully packed the little bags and prepared personalized name tags for each bag. Their thoughtfulness and attention to detail truly made a difference.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the AAPI Family Wonderfest! 🎉✨ We had a wonderful time celebrating the Week of the Young Child with arts & crafts, face painting, music, dance, and cultural performances, and so many joyful community moments.

The day was filled with special highlights, including free ice cream from Mister Softee, getting to meet the SF Bookmobile, and participating in Sunflower Planting with FSCA SPOA 🌻🍦📚

We are truly grateful for your energy, support, and presence—thank you for helping make this event a success! 💛

🌟 Workshop on Professional Therapy x Practical Parenting Guide 🌟

On April 11, 2026, we had the pleasure of hosting “How to Support Your Children Without Burning Yourself Out?” with Diana Chu, Executive Coach and U.S. Licensed Psychotherapist.

It was an incredibly engaging and insightful session for parents of teens. We gained practical communication skills to better connect with our teenagers, learn more about what they may be thinking and feeling, and explore ways to strengthen conversations within the family.

We also covered something just as important—understanding mental health and emotional well-being for both the teen and the parent—and how to support each other without losing yourself in the process.

Thank you to everyone who attended and participated! 💛

Donate Your Car, Create a Lasting Impact ❤️

Recently, we received a very special donation — a pristine 2020 Mercedes-Benz with only 4,600 miles on it.

This wasn’t just any car. It belonged to a longtime friend of APAFSS. Years ago, he and his family donated their first car to us. They have known and supported our work for many years because they saw firsthand how we help needy families right here in San Francisco.

Recently, this kind gentleman passed away after a battle with cancer. In his memory, his wife — now in her 80s — and their two sons made a beautiful decision together. They chose to donate this nearly brand-new Mercedes to APAFSS in honor of their beloved husband and father.

They told us: “He was always so impressed by the work APAFSS does for families in need. He kept talking about it. This is how we want to remember him — by continuing the support he believed in so deeply.”

We are deeply moved and grateful.

Reminder to our community:
At APAFSS, we accept cars in any condition — running or not running. We provide free towing anywhere in the nation, handle all the paperwork, and your donation is tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.

Your old car can become hope, stability, and a brighter future for local families.

If you have a vehicle, a boat or an electric wheelchair you no longer need, please consider donating it to APAFSS. Just like this beautiful family did — in honor of someone they loved.

📞 Call us at 415-616-9797 or visit https://www.apafss.org/car-donation today.

Thank you for helping us turn vehicles into lasting impact.

Every car counts. Every story matters.
