We were thrilled to host Theresa, Bay Area field rep for Senator Padilla’s office, for a tour of LightHouse Eco at the Sirkin Center in Alameda earlier this week. We are so proud of the work we do, the staff we employ, and the difference we are making both in our environment and community!

LightHouse is excited to support the launch of Double Tap Live, a new 24/7 audio stream centered on accessibility, assistive technology, and disability inclusion.

Join Double Tap for a special two-hour premiere tomorrow, Wednesday, September 30, at 11:00 AM Pacific , featuring Lumin, a San Francisco–based, LightHouse partner built by and for blind and low-vision people to manage email and calendar independently by voice.

LightHouse is so proud to highlight a client and dear friend, Dr. Harvey Brody! After a decades long career as a doctor, educator, and opportunity-creator (and musician in his spare time!) Harvey began to lose his sight.

"Harvey first came to LightHouse through the Low Vision Clinic, where he received specialized evaluations and was introduced to adaptive technology. A LightHouse instructor named Deborah encouraged him to learn iPhone accessibility, begin using a white cane, and attend Enchanted Hills Camp."

Now, Harvey wants to give back! For every YouTube play of Dr. Harvey Brody's new song, "Make Good Trouble, Necessary Trouble," he will donate $1 to LightHouse!
