Meir Schneider's School for Self-Healing

Meir Schneider's School for Self-Healing Self-Healing is the process of accessing your innate power to create better health. Meir was born blind to deaf parents in 1954 because of congenital cataracts.

After five unsuccessful surgeries on the lenses of his eyes, which left him with massive scar tissue, glaucoma, cataracts, cross-sightedness and nystagmus (involuntary rapid eye movement), his doctors pronounced his condition hopeless and he was certified permanently legally blind. Today, he holds a current unrestricted California driver’s license, and his vision continues to improve. From 20/2000

(able to see from one foot what a normally sighted person sees from 100 feet) to 20/60 (70% of normal vision)! Through his many books, and his School For Self-Healing in San Francisco, Meir Schneider's mission is to spread his method of vision restoration and holistic bodywork.

From the age of three, children are already glued to screens, but what is this doing to their vision? Dr. Meir Schneider, an expert in vision rehabilitation who defied the odds after being born nearly blind, is calling out the harsh reality of our digital obsession.

He argues that the reliance on screens from such a young age is causing an epidemic of poor eyesight that society is all too quick to accept as normal. Challenging the belief that deteriorating vision is simply an inevitable part of aging or that glasses are the only answer, Dr. Schneider offers a different perspective on how we are shaping the physical development of the next generation. It’s a sobering look at how our modern habits might be costing our children their natural ability to see clearly.

Born with a rare condition affecting only 1 in 20,000 babies, Dr. Meir Schneider’s story challenges everything conventional medicine claims about vision loss. While most assume that deteriorating eyesight is an inevitable part of aging—and that glasses are the only permanent solution—Dr. Schneider proves otherwise.

Having been born nearly blind and undergoing five unsuccessful surgeries, he defied all medical expectations by retraining his eyes and body to see. Now, he’s shedding light on why the modern reliance on screens and glasses may be weakening our vision faster than ever before. This perspective offers a radical shift in how we view eye health, suggesting that sight restoration might be far more possible than we've been led to believe.

Many people are conditioned to believe that deteriorating eyesight is an inevitable part of life and that glasses are the only permanent solution. However, this story flips that narrative on its head.

When this parent noticed their daughter’s vision declining, the instinct was to look for medical explanations. It wasn't until they realized the environment—a specific kindergarten—was causing intense stress that the truth came to light. By removing the stressor and implementing focused eye exercises, they witnessed a remarkable, rapid transformation.

Dr. Meir Schneider, who overcame his own near-blindness to restore his vision, challenges the status quo regarding eye health. His insights reveal that what we often dismiss as aging or genetics might actually be a physical manifestation of stress and tension. Discover how lifestyle, emotional well-being, and intentional movement can impact visual clarity more than anyone ever suspected.

Are glasses always the inevitable solution for children? Dr. Meir Schneider, who defied medical expectations by rehabilitating his own nearly blind eyes, challenges the assumption that vision deterioration is just a natural part of growing up. Instead of rushing to opticians, he explores the deeper, often psychological roots of a child’s struggle with sight. Sometimes, what looks like a physical vision issue might actually be a reaction to an environment or a stressor the child is trying to avoid. Discover a transformative perspective on eye health that focuses on strengthening rather than just correcting.

Ever feel like the world just shrinks down to the screen in front of you? It’s a common trap—whether scrolling on the sidewalk or staring at a computer, tunnel vision has become the new normal. But what if the secret to better vision isn't a stronger prescription, but learning how to see the world around you again?

Dr. Meir Schneider, an expert who defied the odds after being born nearly blind, challenges the myth that declining eyesight is just an inevitable part of aging. Instead of accepting glasses as the only solution, he reveals how simple, physical awareness—like reconnecting with the spine—can shift how we experience our surroundings. Discover a counter-intuitive approach to vision that starts with breaking the screen trance and waking up the body.

It is often assumed that decline is inevitable, but this story challenges that narrative entirely. Witness the remarkable journey of a patient who moved from being paralyzed to regaining his faculties through a dedicated, unconventional approach.

Dr. Meir Schneider, an expert in vision rehabilitation who defied his own prognosis of near-blindness, reveals how the body is capable of profound healing when given the right tools. By focusing on increasing blood flow, releasing total body strain, and implementing specific, repetitive eye exercises, he proves that recovery isn't just a possibility—it's a process. Discover how looking beyond conventional limitations can unlock hidden potential in the human body.
