Blindness Awareness Month is a reminder that independence can look different for everyone.

A white cane is more than a mobility tool — it can represent confidence, navigation, safety, and the ability to move through the world with greater freedom.

This month, we recognize people living with blindness and low vision, and we continue to support access to the eye care, resources, and treatment that can help protect sight whenever possible.

If professionalism and ethics are essential for quality ophthalmic care, why are they sometimes challenging to teach through traditional lectures alone?

Reserve your spot for our Faculty Development Webinar, Teaching Professionalism & Ethics in Ophthalmology Residency, to learn how Case-Based Learning (CBL) and Problem-Based Learning (PBL) can build ethical reasoning, reflective practice, and professional behavior in residents.

During this session, you’ll learn about practical teaching strategies, sample ophthalmic ethical scenarios, and simple tools to assess and reinforce professionalism in everyday training.

Two sessions are offered: 10 June and 17 June 2026. The same content will be delivered in both webinars. Choose the time that works best for your schedule.

Blurry vision, trouble reading, glare or halos, or changes in night vision can be easy to dismiss at first — but they may be signs that your eyes need attention.

This Vision Health Month, don’t wait until vision changes begin to affect your independence, safety, or daily life. Schedule an eye exam and encourage the people you love to do the same.

Your vision is worth protecting.

Happy International Nurses Day to the incredible nursing staff at PVSC. 💙

Whether they’re bringing humor and warmth to the day or staying focused behind the scenes, this team shows up with skill, compassion, and heart. Their work is a powerful reminder that great care doesn’t happen alone — it takes a dedicated team, working together, to support every patient who walks through our doors.

Today, we’re celebrating the nurses who help make PVSC what it is. Thank you for all you do. 👏
