A modality should be studied before it is judged.
When I teach Post-Op Brazilian Lymphatic Drainage®, I am not teaching students to memorize a fast, predetermined massage sequence.
I teach anatomy and physiology, surgical procedures, incision and scar placement, stages of healing, tissue integrity, pressure, rhythm, positioning, patient tolerance, contraindications, red flags, professional scope, and communication with the surgical team.
My students must understand not only what they are doing—but why they are doing it.
An NCBTMB-approved continuing-education program does not replace independent scientific research, and I have never claimed that it does. It does, however, reflect a structured educational program built through nearly a decade of clinical experience, continuing education, and collaboration in postoperative recovery.
Professional education should produce practitioners who can think, observe, adapt, and practice responsibly.
That is the standard I teach. 👊🏽💥 😉
