What if...
instead of turning our hunger signals into boundaries around which we judge our 'performance' with food, we simply saw these hunger signals for what they actually are:
Information.
From a biological standpoint, that’s all a hunger signal is—
When you feel a growl in your tummy, that’s information that your blood sugar is dropping or you are dehydrated.
If you get an icky yeast infection after eating too much sugar a few days or week later, that’s information about how your body might be reacting to that sugar-fest you had.
When my then 7 year old son, ate peanut butter and his face swelled up like a balloon, that was information about his probable peanut-allergy.
That information was useful. We found almond butter after that...and other options.
No need to JUDGE yourself. Observe instead. Gather information and enjoy that your body is communicating with you...
Isn't that cool? Loving observations can change everything, if you let it.
No judgment necessary! Observe and adjust...
