What a great day at the Marin Senior Fair!

Our very first community event was a huge success. We had the opportunity to speak with so many people about knee & joint pain and minimally invasive treatment options. We even had a few of our recent patients stop by to say hello!

Thank you to everyone who visited our booth. We loved connecting with the community and answering your questions. Six hours and we never sat down once!

We’re already looking forward to the next one.

A non-surgical option for knee pain is gaining recognition.

In May 2026, the Society of Interventional Radiology (SIR) formally recognized Genicular Artery Embolization (G*E) as an evidence-based, minimally invasive treatment option for knee osteoarthritis.

G*E may help reduce knee pain and improve mobility for people who have not found enough relief from conservative treatments and want to explore alternatives to knee replacement surgery.

At SFVVI, Dr. Dan Nathanson offers G*E as a minimally invasive option for knee pain relief.

Schedule a consultation to see if G*E may be an option for you.

Last week Dr. Nathanson spoke at Northeast Medical Services (NEMS) about Genicular Artery Embolization (G*E) and other MSK embolization techniques that can help patients with chronic joint pain find relief without surgery. North East Medical Services (NEMS) - 東北醫療中心

We appreciated the opportunity to connect with colleagues and discuss minimally invasive treatment options. Thank you to Dr. Stephen Szeto and the NEMS team for the warm welcome.

Heel pain making every step uncomfortable?
Plantar fasciitis happens when the band of tissue supporting your arch becomes irritated or inflamed, often feeling sharpest first thing in the morning or after standing for long periods.

Here are a few ways to help ease the pain:
🔹 Stretch your calves and arches daily
🔹 Wear supportive shoes or orthotics
🔹 Apply ice after long periods of standing
🔹 Rest your feet and avoid walking barefoot on hard floors

If you’ve tried these and still struggle with pain, MSK Embolization may help. This minimally invasive procedure targets the small blood vessels causing chronic heel pain, improving circulation and reducing inflammation without surgery.
