“Feel like yourself again” is the goal so many people with Hashimoto’s are quietly chasing.

And it’s worth naming what it really means, because it’s more specific than it sounds. It means energy that lasts past the afternoon. A mind that’s clear, with thoughts that show up when you need them. Instead of observing everything in a fog, you get to be fully in your own life— present for your kids, family and partner, enjoying yourself when you travel, and performing well at work. It means ease in your body instead of always pushing through. It means waking up and feeling like you.

With Hashimoto’s, an autoimmune condition where the immune system attacks the thyroid, that can feel out of reach. Reversing Hashimoto’s symptoms naturally is possible. You can stop the autoimmune illness by giving your body what it’s been asking for.

Here’s what I see in practice. Most people have only ever had one thyroid marker checked: TSH. And when that single number reads “normal,” the conversation stops there. But your thyroid is a whole system, and one marker can’t tell the whole story.

A complete picture includes Free T4 and Free T3 (the active, usable form of the hormone), how well your body converts one into the other, thyroid antibodies like TPO and TgAb that flag Hashimoto’s years before anyone names it, plus reverse T3 and key nutrients like ferritin, vitamin D, and B12. If you’ve only ever had TSH checked, you’ve never actually seen the full picture.

That’s not your fault. It’s just where most testing stops. Save this so you know what thorough really looks like.

Hashimoto’s is an immune condition, and that’s actually good news for your treatment.

It sounds heavier at first, but the immune reframe is where hope lives. If the thyroid were simply broken, there’d be little to do but medicate it. Because the real action is in a confused immune system, there’s an upstream process you can actually work with.

Your gut, your stress, your nutrient status. Reversal is slow and never guaranteed, more an exercise in patience than a quick fix. But understanding what’s driving it is the difference between managing a number and creating the conditions to heal.

Your thyroid problem may have started somewhere other than your thyroid.

This reframe surprises people. The thyroid is frequently the victim here, not the culprit. It responds to everything around it, so when your gut, hormones, nutrients, or nervous system are off, the thyroid is where the alarm finally goes off. Finding the root means following your symptoms upstream to their source, not just quieting the loudest one.

Healing this way is slower, but it’s the kind that tends to last.

If your thyroid labs read "normal" but you still feel exhausted, this workshop is for you.

So many people are told their thyroid can only be managed with medication, and that real healing isn't on the table. That isn't the whole story. In this 2-hour interactive workshop, Dr. Jen Mann will walk you through what your lab results actually mean and the holistic pathways that support your thyroid through nutrition and lifestyle.

We're also collaborating with Dr. Aidan, who practices Network Spinal chiropractic, on how your thyroid connects to your nervous system and why calming that system matters for thyroid health. And Britt Fohrman, a somatic coach and embodiment teacher, will lead a gentle movement, breath, and toning practice to invite more ease and flow.

Your body holds the answers. This is where you learn to listen more closely to it.

Hypothyroid and Hashimoto’s symptoms rarely show up one at a time.

Thyroid hormone sets the pace for your whole metabolism, so when it slows, your brain, your skin, your weight, and your body temperature all feel it together. With Hashimoto’s, there’s a second layer beneath the surface: the immune system is confused and attacking the thyroid, so the gland is really the victim.

This is also why people get bounced between specialists, one for the fatigue, one for the weight, one for the hair, while the thread connecting them goes unnoticed. Seeing the pattern as a whole, thyroid and autoimmune together, is usually where real answers start.

When conventional medicine couldn't reverse her autoimmunity, Dr. Jen Mann Nova Wellness looked closely at what was on her plate.

This episode examines how naturopathic medicine addresses the underlying root causes of chronic conditions like Hashimoto's thyroiditis and depression.

We look at how everyday environmental inputs and gut health directly dictate your hormonal and immune function.

Dr. Mann shares how identifying specific food sensitivities, particularly gluten and optimizing her nutrient status allowed her to successfully reverse her own Hashimoto's diagnosis and safely transition off antidepressants.

If you suspect your chronic fatigue or mood drops are tied to your metabolic health but your standard lab panels keep coming back "normal," you deserve a care model that investigates deeper.
