Chai Sui—a.k.a.—BBQ Pork. Delicious on its own, but usually too much in large amounts. I actually like the burnt parts, but know that might be carcinogenic. I am eating more veggies since I entered a year-long program with a health coach. That program ends next week and I will go forth from her teachings and what I learned from the support group. I had a goal, and for the most part, I achieved it. My recent check up in May went well; BP 114/73 (and no meds) and I have lost 6 lbs during the pandemic. I have increased my non-starch veggies by 20%. I am feeling strong and healthy (hope that can last, especially since I am in that endangered age group) I am drinking more wine than ever, fortunately some pretty fine stuff. I don’t deprive myself of treats (desserts, baguettes, or chai sui), I just meter how much and when I can have them. These are the toughest times anyone can ever imagine to be living through. I am hoping that we can navigate it successfully and get to the other side of the curve in the best shape possible. Peace, balance, and positivity to all my sisters and brothers.
