Join us for our Module 7 training on Tuesday, October 23rd. We will be joined by a special guest trainer, Rob Cole, MD for his discussion on Ketamine-Assisted Therapy Across the Arc of Serious Illness: Meaning, Story, and Synaptogenesis.
Drawing on his experience as a palliative-care physician and cancer survivor, Dr. Rob Cole explores the role of KAP in addressing psychological and existential suffering across the course of serious illness. The presentation examines the medicine's pharmacology, proposed brain-network mechanisms, and experiential effects, distinguishing established evidence from emerging hypotheses. Clinical examples illustrate how preparation, supported experience, and integration may help patients encounter fear, identity, and entrenched narratives with greater flexibility. The discussion also considers how the wisdom of palliative care can move upstream, supporting meaning, connection, and a more fully lived life before illness and throughout survivorship.

This workshop will focus on advanced topics in NOSC-assisted psychotherapy: understanding neurotheology, KAP and mystical experiences, meditation and NOSC, self-care and improved preparation interventions, working with symbols and images, and subtle intuition within a relational psychoanalytical theoretical perspective.

We have 4 spots available for our upcoming Polaris/Rainfall Experiential KAP Training Practicum Retreat on October 14-18 in Portland, OR!

This five-day, in-person practicum retreat aims to prepare healthcare providers with greater competence and confidence in offering KAP in clinical settings.

This practicum offers clinicians a chance for deeper learning through experiential immersion in the principles and practices of KAP, and in the ceremonial, relational, and somatic holding of the training team.

Working in dyads, each participant will have an opportunity for self-experience of 2 KAP sessions and facilitation of 2 KAP sessions, as well as experiential learning in multi-modal preparation and integration practices, including movement, art, a sound journey, journaling, and group sharing.

In this module, we focus on the theory and practice of integration in NOSC-assisted therapies with a particular emphasis on non-verbal and verbal processing, self-reflection, and group sharing. We provide clinicians with practical considerations, understanding of common challenges, and a basic framework through which to orient themselves and their clients to meaningful KAP integration. We explore the importance of the imaginal realm in work with expanded states of consciousness and their integration into daily life.

We guide participants through an immersive sound journey, integrating meditation, breath and deep listening, all held within a ceremonial container and followed with individual and group integration. Through the vehicle of expressive arts and other modalities, we help clinicians better understand the processes of supporting clients in digesting, embodying and applying the insights and lessons learned while doing depth exploratory work.

This live virtual training covers the foundations of Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP)(Modules 1-5 & Training and Practice Module) through a combination of online didactic training and group discussions. Clinicians move through training together to enhance the group learning experience and facilitate the development of a professional network. At the end of the cohort, clinicians will have gained more confidence and competence in offering KAP and will have developed relationships with a community of like-minded peers. The 12 cohort sessions cover the foundational content presented in Polaris Modules 1–5. Each session is three hours long and designed to deepen clinical understanding and practical skills.

Who can join the Cohort?
Licensed clinicians, chaplains, and other healthcare professionals who plan to practice ketamine-assisted psychotherapy or support others through treatment. Those in the process of working towards licensure may also join.
Note: Clinicians who have already completed Module 1 may join the cohort at a discounted rate.
