This is the most personal side of my fitness journey. For me, yoga has never been about the camera. It’s about being fully present. It’s where I leave behind the hustle, slow my mind, reconnect with myself, and simply breathe. Unlike filming the gym or Pilates, where it’s about pushing harder, performing, and chasing the burn, yoga has always been quiet internal work. It has been the one practice that consistently brought me peace, and for a long time, it almost felt wrong to interrupt that with a camera.
It’s always been hard for me to put into words what yoga feels like. But this photo session captured it better than I ever could, with its soft light, gentle surrender, airy feeling, and peaceful waves. When I practice, I often feel like I’ve stepped into a fairy tale where everything slows down and the outside world disappears. That’s probably why I keep my eyes closed so often, because yoga isn’t about seeing more, it’s about feeling more.
I think it’s time to share this part of my journey. Over the next few weeks, I’ll be posting more about yoga, what it has taught me, the unexpected benefits it has brought into my life, and how rediscovering it over the last two years has changed me in ways I never expected. Some transformations happen through intensity. Others happen through stillness. Yoga has been the latter for me.
Vesstra’s very first product was a yoga mat for a reason. I truly believe a mat can become the place where lives begin to change. It’s where you step away from the noise, reconnect with yourself, find emotional balance, and create space for both your body and your mind. That’s why creating just any mat was never enough for us. We chose natural materials, obsessed over every detail, and tested it extensively until we felt confident it was pure and safe enough that even a baby could sit on it. Today, sharing this yoga journey while practicing on a Vesstra mat feels incredibly meaningful. Thank you for being here and following this journey with me.
