One of the most common things that stops people from looking into HBOT: "I didn't think it was for someone like me."

It is.

Swipe through four patient profiles we see regularly at Cerebral Health and why the mechanism behind HBOT addresses what standard headache and concussion care often misses.

How many appointments did you sit through where the results came back "normal", but nothing about how you felt was normal?

This is one of the most common things we hear from new patients at Cerebral Health. They'd been through the referral circuit. Tests showed nothing unusual. And they were still dealing with daily headaches, brain fog, or post-concussion symptoms that weren't resolving.

Standard tests are designed to find standard problems. What we look at is different.

The migraine itself isn't the worst part. It's the two days after. The fog, the fatigue, the version of yourself that can't quite function the way you used to.

This is called the postdrome phase. It's one of the most underaddressed parts of migraine management. Most patients we see at Cerebral Health have been managing the pain for years, but no one has looked at what's happening between episodes, or why the recovery period keeps stealing days from their week.

If your headaches are getting more frequent and so is your medication use, those two things may not be a coincidence. 🧠

It's called a rebound headache — and it affects 1-2% of the general population.

Your gut, your mood, your sleep, your headaches. One nerve connecting all of it. 🧠

When the vagus nerve isn't functioning well, the symptoms scatter — and nobody connects them. Swipe to see if this explains what you've been experiencing.

Most people treating chronic headaches are treating the wrong thing. 🧠

Cervicogenic headaches originate in the cervical spine, not the brain. The pain travels up through the nerves of the upper neck and registers in your head — which is exactly why it's so often mistaken for a migraine or tension headache.

If your headaches consistently start at the base of your skull, stay on one side, and get worse when you turn your neck, the source may be structural.

Medication manages the pain. It doesn't fix the structure.

Will had been living with post-concussion symptoms and neurological numbness for years before he walked into Cerebral Health in January 2026. 🧠

Recovery wasn't immediate. There were setbacks. But with the support of Dr. Wai and the team, he stayed the course — and he's now back at work at a top engineering firm.

That's what patient-centred neurological care actually looks like.

Not a quick fix. A real process, with a team that stays with you through the non-linear parts.Thank you, Will.

We're so proud of how far you've come, Will!

Not every day looks dramatic. Most of them just look like this. 🧠

A front desk that actually picks up. Clinicians who take the time to explain what they're doing and why. A team that communicates, stays focused, and treats every patient like their case matters — because it does.

This is what Cerebral Health looks like on a regular Tuesday.

We share the big wins when they happen. But we think there's something worth seeing in the everyday too.

The consistency. The care. The quiet work that happens between appointments that most people never see.

If you've been on the fence about booking, this is the kind of place you'd be walking into.

Most people have never seen a GyroStim before. That reaction when it starts moving? Completely normal. 🧠

Here's what it actually does.

The GyroStim is a multi-axis rotational device that challenges the brain's ability to perceive spatial awareness, balance, and movement. Every session is guided and built specifically around the patient — the speed, the direction, the duration. Nothing is guesswork.

It's used for concussion recovery, vestibular dysfunction, and chronic balance issues that haven't improved with standard care. These are conditions that involve real neurological disruption — the brain's internal GPS losing its calibration. Conventional treatments often address the symptoms. The GyroStim targets the system itself.

The nervous system is adaptable. Given the right input, in the right sequence, it can relearn.

That's what each session is designed to do.

At Cerebral Health, the GyroStim is one part of a broader individualized treatment plan built around your specific neurological data. It doesn't get used in isolation. It gets used because your assessment told us it's what your nervous system needs.

If you're dealing with post-concussion symptoms, balance problems, or vestibular issues that haven't resolved, this is worth a conversation.

Maegan came to us in July 2025 with constant nausea, debilitating vertigo, neck pain, and headaches. 🧠

Ten months later, those symptoms are gone.Vestibular dysfunction doesn't always get taken seriously. It's one of the most disorienting conditions a person can live with, and it's frequently misunderstood.

At Cerebral Health, we have the technology and the clinical process to assess and address it directly.Maegan's words mean everything to our team. Thank you for trusting us with your care.
