It looks like play. But we’re building brains. 🧠

The brain develops from the bottom up—and those foundations matter.

In Brain Blossom, we respect the hierarchy of development and work through the layers:

🧠 Primitive reflexes
🏃‍♂️ Gross motor skills
✋ Fine motor skills
👂 Auditory & verbal processing
👀 Visual & cognitive skills

Rather than jumping straight to the “higher-level” stuff, we build the foundation underneath it.

And the best part? Kids don’t have to sit still and “do therapy.”

They get to move. Play. Explore. Laugh. Connect with their parents. And challenge their brains in ways that are meaningful and fun.

Because we’re not just working toward better skills today.

We’re building stronger, more adaptable and resilient brains—so kids have a better foundation for handling the physical, cognitive, sensory and emotional demands of the world around them.

That’s brain building from the bottom up. ❤️

This sweet mama’s baby turned from breech to head-down after just two visits at 37 weeks. 🙌

Every pregnancy is different, and I can never promise that chiropractic care will turn a breech baby. What I can do is help create the best possible environment for baby by improving pelvic balance, reducing tension in the supporting muscles and ligaments, and helping mom’s body move the way it was designed to.

Sometimes, when there’s more room and less restriction, babies simply choose to turn on their own.

Getting to be part of stories like this never gets old. 💛

✨ If your baby is breech, the earlier we can evaluate pelvic balance, the more options you may have before delivery.

If you’ve ever thought…

“Why does my pain keep coming back?”

Sometimes the answer isn’t what happens in my office—it’s what happens during the other 23 hours of your day.

The way you stand.
The way you carry your kids.
How you sit at your desk.
How you sleep.
Even how you get out of your car.

Little habits repeated hundreds of times can keep irritating the same tissues over and over.

That’s why I don’t just adjust my patients. I help them identify the everyday movement patterns that are keeping them stuck so they can finally get longer-lasting relief. Playing detective is part of my job description 🔎

Which one of these are you guilty of? 👇

Many parents try everything they can to help their child.

More structure.
More reminders.
More consequences.
More therapies.

But sometimes the challenge isn’t effort.
It’s that the brain needs better support.
At Austin Family Chiropractic, we offer The Brain Blossom Program which focuses on strengthening the foundations of how a child’s brain develops, processes
information and adapts to stress. Instead of only working on behaviors or skills from the “top down,” we support the brain from the foundation up.

Our program includes:
• brain-based chiropractic and cranial adjustments
• nutritional support to address underlying causes of stress
• brain-based games and exercises that build coordination, focus, and flexibility
• tools and strategies parents can use at home
• personalized plans based on a comprehensive brain-based evaluation

When the brain processes the world more efficiently, many families begin to notice improvements in things like:

• behavior and emotional regulation
• attention and focus
• learning and school performance
• social engagement
• adaptability during everyday stress

Every child’s brain develops at its own pace, and sometimes it just needs the right support to blossom. If you’re curious about how brain development may be impacting your child’s learning, behavior, or regulation, message me to better understand what your child’s brain may need ❤️

If you’ve noticed I’ve been a little quiet around here lately… now you know why. 🤍

Happy Mother’s Day from our family to yours 💛

Today was one of those days that fills your cup — quality time together in San Francisco, stopping at my new favorite bakery , and ending the day with a walk-off win at the Giants game! ⚾️🙌

I’m so incredibly grateful for my family and for the moments that remind me to slow down and soak it all in.

Being a mom has shaped not only who I am personally, but the heart behind the work I do with families every day. To all the amazing moms in our community: thank you for the love, patience, and care you pour into your families day after day.

I hope you felt celebrated today 🌷

BIG announcement 🙌

After a year of intensive training, mentorship, certification, and behind-the-scenes beta testing… Brain Blossom is officially here.

A completely different way to understand behavioral, learning, and socialization challenges through the lens of neurodevelopment — and support kids at the root.

This work has completely changed the way I view child development, and I’m so excited to finally bring it to our community 💛

I heard this exact story yesterday…and sadly, it wasn’t the first time.

She said it was an uncomplicated vaginal birth.

Then came the details:
Induced because her OB was going on vacation. Pitocin. Epidural. Vacuum. Hemorrhage.

…and somehow this still gets labeled as “normal.”

Listen—there is zero shame in how your birth unfolded. None. We all do our best with the information we have, and that matters.

But we also can’t keep pretending experiences like this don’t place real, significant stress on both mom and baby.

Your body felt that.
Your nervous system felt that.
Your baby felt that.

And then we send moms home… and say, “see you at 6 weeks.”

Six weeks.

After everything your body just went through, we check in once—and call it good?

That doesn’t make sense.

Because these patterns don’t just disappear because everyone made it through.

They show up later as tension, feeding challenges, regulation issues, pelvic floor dysfunction, and more.

You deserve care that acknowledges the full story—not just the outcome.

Because “you’re fine” isn’t the same as “you’ve healed.”

Join me as I count down my wins of the week 🤍

These aren’t just “adjustments”… these are lives changing when the nervous system starts working the way it’s designed to.

✨ 32-week pregnant mama—pain-free for the first time in 6 YEARS
✨ 5-year-old—bedwetting resolved after just 1 week of care
✨ Mama of 7—her first unmedicated birth 🙌
✨ Neurological autoimmune case—improved postural control + muscle development
✨ Colicky baby—more calm, more sleep, more ease
✨ 39-week mama—from unable to walk → 0/10 pain, ready for labor
✨ Baby behind on milestones with torticollis + plagiocephaly—now caught up and conditions resolved 🙌

This is what happens when you stop chasing symptoms…
and start supporting the brain + body connection.

When your body asking for help and we listen, incredible things can happen.

Your adjustment is doing more than you think. ✨

A 2025 study found that chiropractic care was associated with:

• ⬆️ Increased BDNF (Brain-Derived Neurotrophic Factor) — the protein that supports neuroplasticity, brain health, and resilience
• ⬆️ Improved immune activity
• ⬇️ Decreased cortisol (your primary stress hormone)
• ⬇️ Reduced inflammatory markers

Let that sink in.

When we remove structural and neurological interference, the body doesn’t just “feel better.” It shifts physiology.

Stress chemistry changes.
Brain chemistry changes.
Immune signaling changes.

This is why chiropractic isn’t about cracking backs. It’s about optimizing the conversation between the brain and the body.

When someone says, “You fixed me,” I always pause.
No — your body deserves the credit.

My job is to reduce interference so your nervous system can do what it was beautifully designed to do: regulate, adapt, and heal. 🤍
