A place to BELONG and GROW in downtown San Jose. Hours: Monday through Friday from 10am-4pm. Members Our loving accountability empowers growth and recovery.

RCSJ creates community that supports healing from trauma, addiction, homelessness, and mental health challenges. We provide a refuge where members gather for group meals, participate in Recovery Circles, take classes to learn job and life skills, make connections to other community resources, and enjoy social activities in a sober and supportive environment.

Join us for a special Soulful Sunday featuring Neil MacPherson and the Soulful Sunday Quintet as they present The Art Of The Protest Song during the San Jose Jazz Summer Fest. Experience an inspiring morning of music that celebrates the power of voices coming together.

This free community concert also benefits Recovery Café San Jose, so while admission is free, donations are always welcome and help make a difference. After the performance, stay and enjoy a complimentary mini brunch with friends and neighbors. ☀️☕

So Fresh & So Clean! ✂️💅

At the end of June, we hosted a day of pampering for our members with fresh haircuts and manicures. Huge shoutout to everyone who came through and to the amazing talent who had our crew looking and feeling like a million bucks! Nothing beats that post-fresh-cut glow. ✨

Since opening in 2014, Recovery Café San José has become a place where members can keep coming back, find support, share meals, build community, and feel less alone.

In our annual Member Survey, 96% of members said they feel more hopeful, 93% said they feel less alone, and 91% reported better physical health since joining Recovery Café San José.

Over the years, we’ve seen how much people can grow when they have a community that keeps showing up for them! ❤️

Hey San Jose! 👋

Come hang out with us for Soulful Sunday! Neil MacPherson and the Soulful Sunday Quintet will be taking the stage to perform "The Art Of The Protest Song." It’s going to be an incredible, moving performance, and it’s all happening as part of the San Jose Jazz Summer Fest.

Best of all? The concert is a benefit for Recovery Café San Jose. Entry is completely free, though any donations to help support our community are so appreciated! Plus, we are serving up a mini-brunch right after the music finishes! ☕🥐

We have a busy day lined up at the Café this Wednesday (July 15th) ‼️

We’re hosting a few of our awesome partners to bring resources straight to you. Community Cycles will be out front doing free bike repairs, Hope Weave is stopping by with essential gear like hygiene kits and sleeping bags, and the Law Foundation will be here to help answer questions about housing and health rights.

Good food just tastes better when it’s shared! 🧑‍🍳

Recently, members gathered in the kitchen for a School for Recovery cooking class. The afternoon was filled with chopping vegetables, stirring pots, and trying out new flavors together. These classes are rarely just about following a recipe... It’s really about the conversations that happen while standing side-by-side at the counter, learning something new and laughing through the messy parts.
