Your baby’s first home, the placenta, is so sacred. It nourishes, protects, and connects sustaining life in the most powerful, quiet way. A reminder that life begins rooted in care, in connection, in something far deeper than we can see. Honoring the organ that held and grew your baby with so much intention and love.

Second time supporting this beautiful family .

Every moment is a teaching moment especially in the presence of birth.

Children don’t need to be separated from these sacred transitions. They are meant to witness them. To feel them. To learn from them. When a child watches their sibling be born, they are not just observing… they are understanding, in the most natural and unfiltered way, what it means to welcome life Earthside.

They learn that birth is not something to fear, but something powerful, raw, and full of love. They see strength in their mother, support in their family, and connection in its purest form. And when they are invited to be part of that immediate care holding baby, offering a gentle touch, simply being present they begin to understand responsibility, tenderness, and belonging.

These are the moments that shape them. The ones that teach compassion, confidence, and trust in the body and in life itself.

We don’t need to “teach” children everything with words. Sometimes, the greatest lessons are simply lived… together. 🤍

The three of us have been deeply rooted in serving the San Jose community in a true community-based setting supporting families through out-of-hospital births while still holding space for those who invite us into their hospital journeys as doulas.

And let’s be real… even with a doula present, the system can feel so limiting. As birthworkers and even as providers within hospital walls there are moments where protocols speak louder than intuition, experience, and the needs of the birthing person. That truth is something many of us are navigating, challenging, and working to change every single day.

Still, we continue forward.

Eva and I are pushing toward that finish line staying committed to this path, while Liz , licensed for over a year now is continuing her journey toward California licensure. Each of us walking our own timeline TOGETHER , but all rooted in the same intention: to serve, to advocate, and to protect birth as sacred.

We just wanted to take a moment to show the faces behind the work , three Indigenous/ Chicana /Chingona, women holding it down for the San Jose, Bay Area, and Central Coast communities 🤍

If you feel called to work with us, continue to support by booking our services. What we offer goes far beyond birthwork it’s community, culture, advocacy, and care that doesn’t end when the baby is born. From the Womb to the Tomb .

There is something so sacred about gathering in a circle of women who see you, who hold you, and who believe in the vision you carry for your birth and your baby. A mother blessing is more than a gathering it is a remembering. A remembering that you are not alone, that you are deeply supported, and that you are held by a village that will walk beside you as you bring your baby earthside.

This photo isn’t just a headshot. It’s a snapshot of a woman who rose from loss, who returned to her roots, who chose to answer her calling despite every barrier.

It’s a reminder that I’m exactly where I’m meant to be standing in my power, guided by my ancestors, and preparing to serve the next generation with everything I have.

I honor the journey that brought me here, and I honor the responsibility I carry forward.
