⚔️ Environmental stress always wins if you let it.

You can have the best genetics, the sharpest drive, and a bulletproof mindset... but if you keep plunging yourself into “saltwater,” you will experience rust.

In our modern world, saltwater isn’t the ocean. It looks like:
🛑 Chronic stress without adequate downtime.
🛑 Ignoring minor physical aches until they become major injuries.
🛑 Running on empty, poor sleep, and constant “grind” culture.
🛑 Working in a physical setup (like a bad desk posture) that drains your frame.

Murph 2026. Haven’t trained CrossFit methodology in 7 years, and my last two Murph’s were 2020, and 2022, but I got the idea a few weeks ago that i wanted to give it another go. 40 years old and I hit my best time ever and went sub 40 min for the first time finishing at a 39:36.

This was also my first time doing it “Super Cindy” style: 10 pull-ups, 20 pushups, 30 squats for 10 rounds which wasn’t my game plan but it was the easiest way for the gym I did it at to manage all the athletes.

Warmed up with a mile on the assault runner holding zone 3 hr, then into dynamic warmup/ ploy metric skills etc

Legless rope climbs 4 sets of 3

Sprint capacity 5 sets top speed (16 mph)

2.5 mile easy run

Story time Part 1.

I just wanted to share this recent interaction I had with a new patient, and an example of how frustrating our medical system can be. These are the types of cases with very little room for error in treatment judgment as well as testing your patient bedside manners as there are a lot of factors in play. This is also a reminder to my colleagues that’s as chiropractors there is so much value we can offer to our patients when we are willing to listen to them and go beyond just an adjustment.
