Mole Removal with Electrocautery — What’s Actually Happening?

The Perfect Touch uses controlled electrocautery to deliver targeted heat to appropriate benign skin growths, allowing precise treatment while minimizing unnecessary trauma to the surrounding skin.

After treatment, the area typically forms a small crust or scab as part of the natural healing process. No picking! Proper aftercare and sun protection are important for the best cosmetic outcome. ☀️

⚠️ Important: Not every mole should be cosmetically removed. Any lesion that is new, changing in size, shape or color, irregular, bleeding, itching, or otherwise suspicious should be evaluated by a dermatologist before cosmetic treatment.

Sometimes a “clogged pore” is more than what you see on the surface. 👀

This pore had deeply impacted material that wasn’t releasing easily with normal extraction. I used the Perfect Touch to create a tiny opening at the surface, allowing the buildup to be removed with less pressure and trauma to the surrounding skin.

And yes… that yellowish material was hiding underneath! 😳 It can be a combination of keratin, sebum and cellular debris that has accumulated inside the pore.

✨ This is why I always say: don’t pick at stubborn clogged pores at home. Creating too much pressure or trauma can lead to inflammation, pigmentation and scarring.

Professional assessment + controlled extraction = much happier skin!

✨ Tiny growth, precise treatment! ✨

Using the Perfect Touch electrocautery method, controlled and targeted heat can be used to treat certain superficial, benign-appearing skin growths with precision while minimizing impact to the surrounding skin.

After treatment, the area typically forms a tiny scab. Don’t pick it! Allow it to naturally dry and shed as the skin heals, usually within about 7–10 days.

⚠️ Important: Not every bump, spot, or skin growth should be treated cosmetically. Anything new, changing, irregular, bleeding, or suspicious should always be evaluated by a medical professional first.

A few rules I tell my clients:

• 💧 Hyaluronic Acid: hydration-friendly and easy to pair
• 🌿 Azelaic Acid: great for acne, redness & pigmentation
• 🌙 Retinol: powerful—introduce slowly
• 🛡️ Niacinamide: one of my favorite barrier-supporting multitaskers
• 🧼 Salicylic Acid: ideal for oily, congested & acne-prone skin
• ✨ Glycolic/Lactic Acid: exfoliate, but don’t overdo it
• 🍊 Vitamin C: antioxidant protection + brightening, especially in the morning

One important caveat: “avoid” doesn’t always mean these ingredients can never be used together. Many combinations are chemically compatible; the bigger concern is cumulative irritation, concentration, formulation, and your individual skin tolerance.

Not every cyst should be squeezed.

Before extraction, I use the Perfect Touch to create a tiny, precise opening with controlled heat. This allows me to access the cyst more gently, reducing unnecessary trauma to the surrounding skin compared to forceful squeezing.

The goal isn’t just to remove what’s inside—it’s to do it in a way that helps preserve the skin and supports better healing.

Keep in mind:

✨ Seborrheic Keratosis Removal ✨

Seborrheic keratoses are very common, non-cancerous skin growths that often develop with age. Using precision electro-cautery, these lesions can be carefully removed with minimal downtime.

What to expect after treatment:
• A small, dark scab will form over the treated area—this is a normal part of the healing process.
• The scab typically falls off naturally within 7–10 days (sometimes sooner or slightly longer depending on the size and location).
• Please do not pick or scratch the scab, as this can delay healing and increase the risk of scarring or pigmentation changes.
• Keep the area clean, avoid harsh skincare products until healed, and apply sunscreen daily to protect the new skin.

Every lesion should be properly evaluated before cosmetic removal. If a spot is changing in size, color, shape, or has any suspicious features, it should first be examined by a physician.
