Master YongHua's Teaching During GuanYin Qi 2025
Ordinary people, when they encounter problems, become afflicted. When issues arise, they tend to get angry or depressed — their minds start to move. Instead of falling prey to your afflictions, you should recite Guan Yin Bodhisattva’s name. When you feel unhappy, vexed, or afflicted, recite Guan Yin’s name until your mind calms down.
When you are afflicted, recite her name to regain calmness.
You should recite with one mind only, meaning your mind focuses solely on Guan Yin Bodhisattva’s name. If you keep practicing this, you will gradually train yourself to become single-minded.
When you are angry, keep reciting the Bodhisattva’s name until the anger subsides. Don’t expect the anger to disappear right away. Don’t give up — continue reciting until the anger is completely gone. You must develop this skill through patience and repetition.
What is single-mindedness?
If you practice long enough, even when you see someone you hate deeply, the thought of hatred will no longer arise. But if you do not recite the Bodhisattva’s name, anger will easily arise.
