I love a good anatomic replacement. Reverse is getting more common but nothing beats a good recreation of the perfect circle on postop films.

We use an orange solution called chloraprep to cleanse the skin before surgery. Chloraprep is naturally clear but they put an orange dye in it so we can see where we have “painted” already. Cassidy is an excellent nurse who makes sure the skin get a full 3 minutes of chloraprep soaking before we place drapes. This helps to make sure we kill the skin bacteria as well as allowing the solution to dry. The color will eventually fade as you shower and wash the skin several times after surgery.
