Still getting use to the mic but all the networking and relationships building truly paid off with our Young Physicians/Beginner Practitioners Networking event at this year’s Western Foot & Ankle Conference. Our future is rooted in supporting and mentoring our young physicians to be successful not just for themselves but for our patients. This doesn’t just translate to young physicians…networking and relationships building should be happening in every stage of your career.

I feel extremely grateful to APMA leadership, my ELP colleagues, CPMA, and all the friends and colleagues who helped me make this day fun and exciting. Especially our talented surgical lecturers and company rep sponsors.

Absolutely loved this HOD with more of my friends and colleagues coming along and experiencing a little bit of this journey with me. Appreciate the love and support I received this week. It’s a lot of work, but it’s so worth it when I see the talent and vibes match the energy and effort.

St. Lucia for a wedding hanging with some of my favorite people is just what the doctor ordered. Although quick … it was packed with everything I could have ever wanted. We chilled, ate and tried some amazing food; adventure with speed boat tours, mudbaths, and waterfalls (THE BEST TOUR GUIDE Kevin!!!); beach, pool volleyball.

Such an amazing event at 6th Annual Vital Voices Women’s Surgical Summit. There are so many podiatrist from all walks of life truly doing incredible things to push our profession forward. I was able to connect with old students now colleagues and learned some new techniques: Might see your girl doing more MIS for certain patients. What I loved about this group was the faculty are truly dedicated to the craft and helping the next generation learn how to take care of themselves so that we can do what we do best as podiatric surgeons.

Incredible night celebrating two amazing people in our profession. One whom has put his heart and soul into podiatry on a state and national level Dr. Jeff DeSantis and one whom is already a rising star advocating for equity in health care Madeleine Nagle, DPM ’28. I love seeing how well they represent our professional in their own unique ways. That’s what makes PODIATRY so special: our ability to advocate for our patients in every aspect of healthcare.
