Today we’re celebrating an incredible milestone—6 years of Serena being part of the Swell family. 🤍🌊

Over the past six years, Serena has poured her heart into caring for her clients - women, mothers, teens, and families of the Central Coast with compassion, authenticity, and incredible clinical skill. She has been such an important part of Swell’s story, and her dedication to this work has left a lasting impact on our clients, our team, and our community.

Serena, thank you for believing in the vision of Swell and for helping build a practice rooted in connection, healing, and wholehearted care. It has been such a privilege to watch you grow—not only as an exceptional therapist, but as a respected colleague, and dear friend.

While we’re sad to see this chapter come to a close, we couldn’t be more excited for you as you begin your own private practice. I have no doubt you’ll continue changing lives and serving our community in beautiful ways. There is more than enough room for all of us to thrive, and I can’t wait to watch you continue to grow. The Central Coast is lucky to have you and we are cheering you on every step of the way!

Introducing Girl, Same. 🩵✨ — an 8-week support group for college-age women in SLO, built as an antidote to the comparison, performance, and curated perfect culture so many of us are steeping in without realizing it.

You may know all the things. You do the “work”. But something still feels off. The “off” feeling doesn’t mean somethings wrong with you, it usually just means you have been carrying it alone🫂

We are excited to be offering a nonjudgmental, warm, creative, and safe space to have real conversation about the things everyone is feeling but not talking about. A place of real conversation, creative expression, and honest reflection. Guided by two of our trauma informed therapists, Odyssey & Cassidy, helping you turn inward with curiosity instead of criticism🌱

We will be exploring topics such as: relationships, identity, body image, pressure of expectations, emotional regulation, and how to best care for ourselves💞

After such a transformative and meaningful experience during our last 6-week Women’s Circle, we received so much beautiful feedback and realized how deeply this kind of community, connection, and support is needed right now 🤍

We’re so excited to announce that we’ll be offering another 6-week Somatic & Expressive Therapy Circle for women and mothers seeking a gentle, grounded space for connection, embodiment, emotional processing, and authentic community 🪷

Together, we’ll gather to slow down, reconnect with the wisdom of the body, explore creative expression, and feel supported through meaningful conversation, reflection, and shared experience 🧡

✨Meet Odyssey ✨

We’re so excited to welcome Odyssey Nixon, AMFT ( #158366) APCC ( #20694) to the beautiful community of women therapists we’ve created here at Swell🌸

Odyssey supports individuals and couples navigating trauma, relationship challenges, anxiety, life transitions, and women’s health challenges. She brings a balance of warmth, compassion, and accountability into the therapy space — creating room for authenticity, growth, softness, and even laughter along the way.

Her work is holistic and trauma-informed, integrating CBT, Narrative Therapy, Family Systems, psychodynamic, and mind–body approaches. Odyssey deeply honors each client’s unique story while helping them reconnect with their resilience and inner resources, moving toward greater balance and fulfillment🪷

Based here on the Central Coast, Odyssey finds joy in her time with her husband, two kids, and two dogs. Water is her love language—whether it’s a slow river, a clear ocean, or a cold lake plunge. She also loves getting lost in a good book, visiting museums, painting, and noticing the light in the trees.

We feel so grateful to have her passionate and empowering energy on our team. Our community is lucky to have her 🤍
